Sometimes the trauma you’ve experienced means it’s difficult to be present in your life.
Dissociation can show up in many ways. You may feel divided inside, foggy, or lose track of time. You may find it hard to know how you feel, or not feel like “yourself” at times. This is normal. It’s hard to be in the “here and now,” because some parts of you are still stuck in the “there and then,” back when the trauma happened.
I help my clients expand their coping skills, understand their symptoms and learn how to experience their emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them. When the time is right, I help you identify and address the trauma at the root of these experiences.
