Abuse or neglect can create patterns that shape the rest of your life. These include distorted beliefs, shame, negative self-talk, and unhealthy relationships that hold you back.
I work with my clients to help them feel calmer, more in control, and to understand the experiences that lie beneath the symptoms that are showing up now. If you’re currently in an abusive relationship, we will also discuss practical actions you can take to increase your safety.
When you’re ready, we use EMDR to process these abusive experiences and replace your negative beliefs with healthier ones. Processing past abuse helps you to live in the present and build the life you want now, rather than being shaped by the past.
